The past few weeks have been heavy with violence in the news, tragedies we have a hard time wrapping our minds around. Each of us are affected in some way when we read or see about terrible things in the news and social media, but we each have to find a way to make sure that our own actions and thoughts don't drag us and others down a spiral path of more anger, hurt and violence. We need to lift each other up and become human again...our humanity seems to becoming lost in a world full of strife and division, we are all one race, the human race, and we need to treat each and every human being with dignity and respect, and find the good in that which makes us human.
I finally finished the monster 8 foot by five foot single canvas painting! It was quite the process and I often times felt like a contortionist, haha!! especially when it came to painting the bottom portion of the painting...I think I need to figure out a different way, like hanging on the wall, in order to reach the bottom sections more easily. Here are some fun work in progress photos, from the unrolling of the amazing Genie Canvas, my go to for oversized canvases, to the finished, colorful painting "To See Clearly"© hanging in my living room awaiting it's new home :) Click on any image to see larger
