For years I would create a new calendar comprised from my Circle of Life collection of bright, colorful landscape paintings. But, I've been slacking, I will admit it, and haven't created one for a few years, but I'm back at it and just released the 2021 calendar with all new designs! The great thing about these calendars is you don't have to dispose of them once the year is over, you can continue to display the calendar as art, or even remove the art pages from the calendar and frame them to enjoy for years to come. Knowing this I'm going to make a point of creating each new calendar with never before used art so you have the option to use the art in different ways for displaying in your home or office. For those who may not know, my Circle of Life collection is one of my post popular series I have ever created. The paintings are always super colorful, using rich, vibrant shades of every color imaginable, and always feature the black silhouette of a tree, surrounded by floating circles in various sizes and colors. My inspiration for this colorful and whimsical series comes from living life to it’s fullest and repeatedly seeing how the good and bad in life always come full circle. Gustav Klimt is another inspiring force behind my use of circles and other shapes in my paintings. His ability to take unrelated shapes and interpose them to create a painting of beauty and mastery is enthralling and inspirational.
“The nature of God is a circle of which the center is everywhere and the circumference is nowhere.” ~ Empedocles

It's that time of year! We start looking for the perfect Christmas decorations and want to add something unique and fun to our tree to commemorate each year, and well 2020 is no exception, and even though I think many of us would like to erase it from our memory, haha, it will always be a stand out year for many reasons. So, why not add something special like a handpainted original Christmas tree art ornament to remember 2020! Many of the ornaments that have been created so far can also be customized on one side such as the one above with the date. I can also add a name or anything that would fit in a 3" wide space on the heart shape. I've been creating a lot of art the past few months; forced Covid 19 quarantine in Miami has given me lots of time to be creative! I've started to upload the new art to my Pixels.com gallery where you can purchase all manner, and sizes, of prints from gallery wrapped canvases, framed and even metal and acrylic prints. In addition to the prints there are also home decor products sch as pillows, bedding, etc. The newest offering they have is of course cloth face masks, the new 2020 accessory. I have close to 1,000 different designs to choose from for the masks, to avoid the ho hum boring medical grade masks.
The image shown here is "Whispers in the Night" and it was actually created on a small 6"x6" canvas board and then embellished with a couple little wooden hearts. But, I love the look of this part of the painting so much I wanted to offer it by itself for prints and products. Even though it was initially created so small it is available in prints sizes up to 48"x48"! You can see all of my art on Pixels.com I've finally gotten around to listing all the available MAD Doodles, there are over 60 to choose from.
I started out creating these as just a means to get the creative juices flowing, but I received so much positive feedback and interest in people wanting to purchase them, I will now be offering them for sale :) They are created on loose 11"x14" Bristol Paper (unframed) and using Sharpie pens, listed at the amazingly low price of only $49 each, including shipping within the U.S. If you want to keep up to date on all my newest art and creations, I share everything on my Instagram @MADArtStudios. Stay safe, healthy and inspired! I've started a new collection of paintings I call Color Studies. These are all painted with acrylics on Bristol paper (unframed), in sizes from 11"x14" up to 19"x24" and they are quick little studies to work on color combinations and design elements. Most of these are abstracts, but I also do some of my PoP of Love hearts as well, that have less detail than my other hearts. These color Studies really help to keep me inspired and allow me to create finished art every day, so far I am loving this new direction! And am going to try some of these designs on larger paintings soon, for now I'm just really enjoying the process of creating so much new art and hope you all like these new pieces as well. I am also offering these original paintings at VERY affordable prices, so that everyone can enjoy some colorful, vibrant original art in their homes. You can see all the available pieces HERE, and be sure to check back on a regular basis as I try to add new ones every day as often as I possibly can. I have also been adding them to my Society 6 and Pixels.com sites for prints and all kinds of fabulous print options, home decor and accessory products. I will also be creating some of my popular style of abstract Landscapes and Circle of Life paintings as Color Studies as well and offered at the same price. I don't paint a lot of these anymore, but it's fun to revisit this style with new colors and add in some different ideas/designs elements as I move forward with the color studies.
