As many of you have probably heard, coloring is all the rage right now! And I don't see the trend ending any time soon...if ever. The reasons are because coloring takes adults back to a carefree childhood where they remember sitting for hours just coloring away with no worries in the world, who doesn't want to experience that throughout life? And with this carefree feeling comes stress relief and proven studies showing that coloring can actually lower blood pressure, who would have thought! I know for me, when I'm being creative and drawing, painting and now coloring again, after a long absence, it takes me into a place of calm and peace...I actually call my art studio "My Happy Place" :) I'm working on creating my first coloring book with these images and more, hopefully available later this summer. In the meantime I thought it would be fantastic to offer the designs as coloring cards! My good friend Lisa recently started coloring and gave me this fabulous idea, total genius if you ask me!! And I haven't been able to find much of a selection of coloring cards, so this is a unique way to tap into your creative side and be able to send a truly unique, one of a kind, card with a special message to friends and family. Or if you like how your coloring masterpiece turns out, you can always frame it and enjoy for yourself :) And of course, you also have the option to leave the card uncolored and send it to someone to recapture their childhood and do some coloring of their own! Each card is 5"x7" (fits into a standard frame), is printed on heavy matte card stock which holds up well to colored pencils, even with multiple layering. I also tested the cards and did some coloring with Sharpie and Crayola marking pens and it holds up to two layers of coloring without any bleed through. This is an unfolded card, so it just has the front image and then the entire back is available to write your message, the card also comes with a matching white envelope, so all you need to do is color, write and post a stamp! I hope you and your friends and family will enjoy this new way of being creative and having fun. There are five cards currently available in my Zazzle shop and more will be added soon!
