My latest limited edition print release is now available! This is for my Blue Spix Macaw painting "Everlasting Hope", this was the first of the animal paintings in this style that I started over a year ago. I created this painting to highlight the plight of these beautiful birds, made famous from the animated movie “Rio”. These rare birds had been extinct in the wild for over 20 years, until earlier this year, thanks to decades of conservation and preservation work by scientists and activists; 8 captive birds have now been released back into the wilds of Brazil, their former range. With more releases planned, including another 12 in December of this year. I will be closely following the continued efforts to help these birds be rewilded and hoping that they will once again thrive in their homeland of Brazil through continued conservation efforts. (1% of all my art proceeds goes towards conservation/preservation organizations.)
